The lectures start at 9.15
The seminar can be attended by both master students in logistics and applied informatics and will cover:
- Automatic identification, why and how
- Basic RFID-technology - tags, readers, etc.
- Examples of applications of RFID-technology in logistics
- Supply chain management and RFID
- EPC (electronic product code)
- Other standards
- How information systems handle data captured by RFID-readers
- Exchange of data
- RFID and privacy
- Practical applications of RFID
Plan (more details will appear when the seminar starts):
Day 1: Introduction and theory
Day 2: CASE: RFID for Brunvoll AS and project work
Day 3: Presentation of plan for project work. Areas for use of RFID
Day 4: Information visibility. Supply Chain Management and RFID. Privacy and Security
Day 5: Presentation of project. Evaluation

Evaluation: Report and oral presentation of a case study.
