It is required that the student has participated in the seminar “RFID in Logistics”.

This seminar is intended for informatics students and will focus on the computer related aspects of the RFID technologies. In addition to presenting the core technologies the seminar will include programming of working applications of RFID systems.

Some of the topics that will be covered are:

• Identities
• Mapping between logical and physical identities
• Electronic Product Code
• XML and metadata
• Databases
• Webservices
  
• Security

A goal for the seminar is to make all things working together. Of that reason a very important part of the seminar is a project involving readers, egdeservers, webservices and databases.
